North Cornwall

The Shell Shop is set in a wonderful part of Cornwall, and one that is gaining in reputation and quality with each passing year. Padstow sits at the entrance to the Camel Estuary, the mouth of the Camel River that flows past Wadebridge.

Across the water opposite lies Rock, a village that has jumped up in stature in recent decades. It has long beaches that run along the edge of the tranquil estuary, almost all the way round to the neighboring Polzeath. From Padstow, you can reach Rock via a ferry or water taxi, and right from the ferry point you can find places to stay, all moments from the water.

There are all sorts of alternative accommodation options in the local area, from high quality hotels, to comfortable bed and breakfast. Well worth making a holiday destination. On the edge of Bodmin Moor, a little further inland, you will find Steppes Farm, who offer luxury holiday cottages ranging from four to five star in standard.
